Debbie Moysychyn

Title: Executive Director, Executive and Health Care Executive MBA Programs

Academic Background:
Debbie earned her Masters of Business Administration (2006) from UC Irvine, The Paul Merage School of Business. As a graduate of University of Miami, Debbie earned simultaneous Bachelor of Science degrees in chemistry, biology and an Associated Bachelors in graphic design while completing four years of medical research education.

Previous Professional Background: Debbie brings more than 25 years of marketing management experience to The Paul Merage School of Business. Prior to her current position, Debbie served as associate director (HCEMBA program) as a result of being recruited from the Merage School, where she was earning her MBA, to work for the University of California, Irvine. She was previously director of marketing for a non-profit science education and several internet organizations. Using her expertise in online and interactive marketing, she successfully launched two internet companies. As a Certified Medical Illustrator, Debbie provided criminal and civic litigation support through custom medical illustrations and exhibits, as a demonstrative evidence specialist, through her own firm.

Professional Highlights: Debbie was a nominee for the Johns Hopkins Fellow, Education Advocate award and received a Senate Certificate of Recognition for her contribution of education to the business community. She belongs to the American Marketing Association, Healthcare Business Women’s Association, Forum for Corporate Directors and has been listed in Cambridge Who's Who of Professional and execuitves. She is a member of the Professional Advisory Board of ClinicAid Research Management, and Mitochon Systmes, Inc. as well as a task force member of BIOCOM. She is a Charter Member of the Dean' Leadership Circle at UC Irvine. Debbie is a certified medical illustrator.

Why did you choose to work at Merage: “The facet of my job that I enjoy the most is interacting with the highly accomplished students that attend the Executive MBA and Healthcare Executive MBA programs. I am fascinated by the start-up companies, innovations and new ventures that result from the collaborative environment between classmates. The Merage School certainly promotes these business activities."

Title:  Associate Director, Recruting and Admissions

Academic Background: MS in Human Resource Management with honors from Chapman University Argyros School of Business and Economics, Orange, CA. BA & Secondary Teaching Credential from California State University, Fullerton.

Previous Professional Background: Prior to joining Merage, Debbie served as Vice President, Director of Professional Services for Lee Hecht Harrison, a globally recognized leader in creating and delivering human capital solutions, partnering with organizations and individuals to maximize their performance.  At Lee Hecht Harrison she was instrumental in increasing client enrollment and satisfaction levels in the Irvine office, particularly with executive level clients.  She also utilized her expertise in career management to counsel clients to identify and align with meaningful educational and employment opportunities.  Prior to Lee Hecht Harrison, Debbie’s corporate career included more than 20 years in executive and physician recruiting, university relations, human resource management and internal consulting with Fortune 500 companies such as Beckman Coulter, Rockwell, Fluor and Times Mirror.

Professional Highlights: Debbie joined The Paul Merage School of Business in November 2007 and has found it very fulfilling to use her recruitment skills and corporate business network to build her first classes, EMBA and HCEMBA 2010.

Why did you choose to work at Merage:  “One of the things I enjoyed most about my corporate HR roles was the involvement with higher education through university relations and recruiting outstanding graduates to fill openings.  I also have a passion for career development and helping individuals to identify a path and educational goals to develop as leaders in today’s rapidly changing business world.  Working at The Paul Merage School of Business has enabled me to align with my passions while being part of one of the premier graduate business school programs in Southern California.”

Title: Assistant Director, Student Affairs

Academic Background: MA degree in Social Science with an emphasis in Demographics and Social Analysis from University of California, Irvine  and BA degrees in Anthropology and Social Science with an emphasis in Public and Community Service, also from UC Irvine.

Previous Professional Background: Prior to working at Merage, Nola analyzed survey data and developed databases based on the health needs of Orange County residents at the Orange County Health Needs Assessment (OCHNA). As a student at UC Irvine, Nola taught undergraduate courses in research at the School of Social Sciences. She has also conducted quantitative and qualitative research on the health needs of Urban American Indian in Los Angeles County.

Professional Highlights: Nola finds the most rewarding aspect of her position is being a part of the professional and personal growth of the Executive and Health Care Executive students from matriculation to graduation and beyond.

Why did you choose to work at Merage:  “I believe in the mission of the Merage School in terms of its commitment to research, teaching and service to the community. Additionally, I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and I believe that education, especially higher education, is an important tool for any individual.”

Academic Background: BFA in Theatre and Dance, University of Wyoming.

Title: Assistant Director, Residential Planning and Operations

Previous Professional Background: Robin initially worked in alumni relations both at a Kendall College in Chicago, as well as at The Paul Merage School of Business.  She has enjoyed jumping the fence over to academic relations. 

Why did you choose to work at Merage: “UC Irvine has a ‘wow’ factor in Orange County.  Everyone I meet is impressed when I say that I work at the Merage School at UC Irvine.  It's a connection that garners immediate respect in Orange County.”
