Securitization/Structured Finance: Financing the Future
Program Overview
Securitization and structured finance jointly represent the fastest-growing,
largest sector of the fixed-income market. “Securitization” refers
to the asset side transformation of converting loan contracts into securities
and “Structured Finance” refers to the development of a liability
structure that minimizes the all-in funding cost to the ultimate borrower.
Securitization and Structured Finance deals with non-recourse financing pieces
of the corporation balance in various forms:
- Asset-Backed Securities (ABS)
- Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS)
- Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDOs)
- Asset-Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP)
This program will discuss the macro picture of Securitization and Structured
Finance and help you develop the essential skills and concepts in this field.
This core course enables attendees to experiment with transaction structure
and to immerse themselves in a new way of thinking about finance.
This intensive five-day practical workshop is offered in conjunction with The
Paul Merage School of Business at University of California, Irvine and R&R
Consulting, New York
This workshop is targeted towards finance professionals, public or private
project managers and planners, accountants and auditors who want to gain fundamental
knowledge of structured finance and to broaden their risk horizons. It also
has value to private equity, venture capital and hedge fund managers seeking
a fresh understanding of value and risk.
R&R Consulting is the standards-setter in the structured finance industry.
They disseminate those standards through active dialogue with regulators and
